Refund and Returns Policy

At MechanicMate Digital, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains when you may be eligible for a refund, replacement, or other remedy under Australian law.


1. Digital Product Nature

All our products are digital downloads (PDF manuals) delivered electronically.
Because digital goods cannot be “returned” in the same way as physical items, we generally do not offer refunds once a download link has been provided.


2. Australian Consumer Law Rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if the product:

  • Is faulty or corrupted
  • Does not match the description provided at the time of purchase
  • Fails to perform as advertised

This does not apply where you simply change your mind or purchase the wrong product.


3. Situations Eligible for a Refund

We will consider a refund or replacement if:

  • The file is defective or will not open, and we are unable to provide a working version within 3 business days of being notified
  • The content does not match the description or is materially different from what was advertised
  • A duplicate purchase was made in error
  • The manual has not been downloaded or accessed and you request a refund within 180 days of purchase. Once a manual has been downloaded or accessed, the sale is final except as described under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Situations Not Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be granted where:

  • You purchased the wrong manual and the correct one is available for purchase
  • You changed your mind after downloading
  • The product is incompatible with your device or software, unless we failed to state compatibility requirements
  • You fail to contact us within the specified time frame

5. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for defective files or within 180 days if the manual has not been downloaded or accessed
  2. Provide your order number, the email used for purchase, and a description of the issue
  3. We may request screenshots or other evidence to help us resolve your request

We aim to assess and respond to refund requests within 2 business days.


6. Replacements

If the issue can be resolved by providing a corrected file, we will do so instead of issuing a refund where appropriate.
